What is the Spam Score?
This score gives you an
estimate how likely it is that your email will be classified as spam.
Generally, this score should be less than 5.0 to achive best results.
How accurate is this score and how is it calculated?
We
use an interface to the Apache SpamAssassin Project. SpamAssassin is a
widely deployed Anti-Spam software which is used by many email servers
(probably also by your newsletter's recipients). When a report is
generated delivery of an email to an SpamAssassin enabled email server
is emulated, which makes this test as close to the real world as
possible.
A huge number of rules will be applied to your
email and each matching rule will give you a positive (bad) or negative
score (good). The Spam Score of your email is a sum of all matching
rules and their scores.
How can I improve the Spam Score of my Newsletter?
Have a look at the Spam Score report and try to modify or remove content from your email which matches rules.
